I believe the counseling relationship should be a collaborative experience to be sure your needs/desires for counseling are met with the most effective approach.
I am proudly affiliated with New Hope Counselors and a member of many associations to establish/maintain relationships with my peers and to stay current with the newest developments in the field of counseling. I offer individual, couple’s, adolescent, family, and intensive (3+ hour) sessions, with group counseling in the near future. At this time I do not take insurance, but can provide a superbill for you to give to your insurance company.
EMDR
I am trained in the trauma-informed therapeutic approach, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
SYMBIS
I am a certified facilitator for the programs Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts (SYMBIS) and Prepare/Enrich.
CSTIP
I completed David Kessler's Grief Educator Certification and Tammy Nelson's Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) program.
Certified First Responder Associate
I am a Certified First Responder Associate through Academy Hour and I am continually working towards mastering new approaches.
Counseling Sessions
Individual, couple’s, adolescent, family, and intensive (3+ hour) sessions, with group counseling.
Insurance Information
We are in the process of accepting insurance and will soon offer coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Aetna.
In the meantime, Tara is currently accepting certain insurance plans via Headway. To check if your sessions may be covered through Headway, please click on the button below:
