Pre-Marital/Couple’s: According to Her and Xiong (2024), in the United States, somewhere between 40-60% of marriages end in divorce, and when reviewing statistics across different cultures, the most common reasons listed for divorce stem from issues regarding communication, intimacy, finances, personality, and commitment. Christian Counseling Care, PLLC. offers two premarital programs to effectively prepare you for marriage. After taking the initial assessment, you will have the benefit of reviewing the results and addressing any issues/concerns during your personal sessions with a professional.

SYMBIS

Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts and Saving Your Second Marriage Before it Starts is an effective premarital program to successfully prepare you as a couple to take the next step into marriage. There is an initial assessment you both will take individually which will highlight possible areas of concern as well as strengths you have as a couple. This program requires a book and corresponding workbooks for each partner to complete exercises between sessions. A certificate of completion will be provided to the couple at the end of the program.
Prepare/Enrich
The Prepare/Enrich program is slightly different in the way that it is not just for engaged couples. It can be used for any couple who have a desire to strengthen and enrich their relationship. This program also utilizes an assessment for both to take individually. Although there is not a required book, there are recommended exercises based on the results of the assessment. Whether this program is used to help dating, engaged, or married couple’s, it is an effective way to address difficult issues and celebrate strengths.
How We Love
This program is for all couples as well, There is an individual assessment which will reveal your love styles and produce an explanation on how they can negatively interact with one another’s leading to a repetitive cycle of pain within your relationship. As a couple, you will work with a professional to learn how to break out of this negative cycle and become secure connectors, enhancing your relationship. There are resources to purchase on their website, but it is not required for sessions.
